Etsy Model of the Week: Gloria Marigo

I love this floral story, "A Dream Goes On Forever" by photographer and Etsy seller, Gloria Marigo.  For my fashionista readers, it's almost a bit Mulberry-esque don't you think?  Anything with Hydrangeas and a red lip deserves a spot on this blog.

Etsy Model Of The Week

This weeks model(s) come from wonderful Etsy photographer, Mariam Sitchinava. I have been a long time admirer of her work and I thought it was about time that she made her debut onto the blog. I love her use of color, the presence of nature, and the eerie quality of her work.

Etsy Model of the Week.

Feeling totally inspired by this whimsical photograph by Etsy seller, Henry Darger.  According to the description, the photo was taken in Paris, which makes it even more impressive.  I love the  flouncy tulle dress against the dark appliques.  I'm also totally obsessed with the forgotten looking road in the background.  The dress, the greenery, the hair! TrĂ©s Chic!

Etsy Model of the Week.

It's been a while since I have posted an Etsy Model of the Week, which is strange because it is one of my favorite things.  I guess I can be picky when it comes to who I choose... Looks aren't a huge factor, it's more the setting, props, clothes, accessories and over photograph which makes me stop and say wow!  I found this weeks post via the Style Me Etsy facebook page.  It's been absolutely freezing in New York and even though I know colder weather has yet to come, I 'm already ready for Spring.  These pictures gave me something to look forward too.  Not to mention the clothes are stunning, the background is sunny and green, and anything featuring a big red balloon makes my list.  C O L L E T T E charmeuse halter style cocktail gown with bow, any color

Etsy Model of the Week.

Every year once it hits September 1, summer is officially over to me.  I know technically there are a few more weeks of the season, but not for me.  I started school last week; I start my internship next week.  Believe me I'm not complaining, I love my school and my internship is at Teen Vogue, so it will be AMAZING!  Even though this heat is unbearable, I know it's only a matter of time until the leaves start changing colors and the temperature cools down. I am so looking forward to this fall.  It will be my first one in two years, since there were no real seasons in San Diego.  I plan on wearing tons of rose pink, gold and camel.  Not to mention the few blazers and faux fur vests I’ve acquired.  Riordan Raoche’s Etsy shop is everything I want and more in my fall wardrobe.  These girls are stunning! As well as the subtle make up, interesting settings and preppy, tailored clothes.

What I love...

I'm now in my last quarter at FIDM and I can't help but be reminded of all the wonderful memories I have gathered over the last 2 years.  I was a total slacker in high school, and I completely transformed when I got to FIDM.  This past quarter I was lucky enough to take an extra class called Fashion Styling and Coordination.  I drove up to LA every Saturday for 6 weeks and took this 6  hour class, the traveling was a total bummer, but the class was my favorite yet.  The theme of our final project was the "Maddest Hatter" and we were instructed to create a headpiece, that was our only direction.  Creative freedom can allow you to accomplish some pretty cool things.  Here are some shots of my headpiece and the model I styled.

etsy model of the week.

Give me a full ballerina skirt and I'm on board! No, but ever since I dressed as ballerina for Halloween I have become obsessed with tutu's. They are cute, girly, edgy, tulle and fun all in one! So, naturally the models that I chose this week are wearing ballet skirts, but looking fabulous in them.

Etsy Model of the Week

We all know that Etsy has amazing designers.  But could Etsy also be used to search for great models?  I think so....Whether they are professional models, friends of the designers, or the designers them selves. The models are the ones who truly sell the product.

This weeks model is shown wearing a scarf from Etsy designer necklush.   This model keeps her self looking fierce as if close up shots were easy.  I love the intense make up around the eyes, and even the dark lips.  It all allows for the true product (the scarf) to shine through.

Make sure to check out the necklush shop which has many more design and color choices.  Some have even been featured on the Urban Outfitters blog!

This weeks model is featured in Etsy seller JacqleenBleu's photography shop.  I fell in love with the model in Karma Police because of her hair and eyes.  The way her hair is fallen over her face mixed with the harsh black make up really creates something beautiful!  Also the subtle colors of her skin and hair really look great in contrast to the bright clothing.

If you have a favorite model on Etsy I want to know about it, women, children, men and even dogs can be considered. Leave a comment.

Etsy Model of the Week

We all know that Etsy has amazing designers.  But could Etsy also be used to search for great models?  I think so....Whether they are professional models, friends of the designers them selves. The models are the ones who truly sell the clothes.  We look at the models to envision ourselves in the outfit.

This particular model is seen wearing a Vintage Lilly Bee Polka Dot Frock by Yellow Cake.  You can check out more pictures of the model and other great vintage deals here.

* I love the way she is seated on the table in the first shot.  She reminds me of one of the Brady Bunch girls looking innocent, when really she has a secret...

If you have a favorite model on Etsy I want to know about it, women, children, men and even dogs can be considered.
